Welcome! We’re really glad you’re here.

It all started in a small apartment in Copenhagen back in 2023. Henriette was living in one of those beautiful-but-expensive rentals where drilling holes in the walls comes with the risk of a painful bill when you move out. We wanted warm, functional light that actually made the apartment feel like home, but in a simple and hassle-free way.

So we started searching for a solution. Something easy to install, functional, and robust. What we found on the market didn’t impress us, so we figured we could do better 😅

That led us to find and further develop, what is now Uma Light: our first wireless, rechargeable, easy-to-install light that feels like a natural part of the room instead of a temporary fix.

In May 2024, we officially founded Glød Copenhagen. And from that moment on, functional lighting became our obsession. Today, we’ve welcomed more than 15,000 happy customers in Denmark, and we’re incredibly proud of how far this little idea has come. We’ve grown slowly and intentionally, always with an uncompromising Danish commitment to quality and extraordinary customer service.

And now, we’re bringing that same approach to the United States.

For us, expanding to the US is about sharing something we truly believe in: lighting that’s simple, safe, functional and really makes everyday life easier.

We’re hands-on with everything we do. From product development to conversations with our customers. We obsess over the small details: the sensor angle, the adhesive strength, the battery life, the CRI value - and most importantly, creating an experience that feels personal and held to high standards. We genuinely appreciate every single person who welcomes our products into their home.
